On November 27th, the special fund advisory inspectorate which is in charge of students' nutrition improvement project of rural compulsory education in Hubei Province visited the nationality center school of Xiaping village in Hefeng country. In 2001, Free Lunch For Children cooperated with the Hefeng country to carry out the “1+2” project for free lunch. That is, the finance of the Hefeng country and the FLFC contributed to the project together to provide a three-yuan lunch to students from the rural schools in Hefeng country for free everyday.
In the autumn of 2013, the new county party secretary, Wang Xiaoping helped to improve the project to become a “Hefeng Model". He improved the breakfast's standard of the pupil so that the school children could not only have a three-yuan lunch but also have a two-yuan breakfast for free everyday. 14942 students from 55 schools of the whole country have benefited from the students' nutrition improvement project and the FLFC. This model was called “ free lunch in Hefeng Model” by the media.
Most of the equipment in the canteen, such as the big electric pan, the disinfection cabinet and the food heating cabinets are devoted by the enterprises, the charitable institutions and the compassion public figures. The breakfast and lunch are supplied by the school. The fund provided by the FLFC and the local government as well as the the special fund of the students' nutrition improvement project are all used to provide breakfast and lunch for the students. The schools haven’t gained any profit. “ Many people care about Students' meal in Hefeng.” the advisory inspectorate said unfeignedly.
It's a great improvement for the FLFC.The FLFC and the students’ nutrition improvement project convey their love to Hefeng country together. Let us join hands and advance together and popularize the“ free lunch in Hefeng Model” all over China to convey love to more children in impoverished mountainous area.
