It was said that it was a school for the children of peasant-workers, parents of the students work in Guiyang, and most of them mainly depended on part-time jobs or dealing vegetables. Since their parents worked around the school, those students transfered to the school with their parents. Students came from counties and villages, according to the school, there were 30% students` parents doing part-time jobs or dealing vegetables, some of them got up before day break and went to the market to carry pack basket which was similar to the bangbang in Sichuan Province, some of them pulled the handcart which was helping pull things for others with a handcart by bare hands, some of them could not make lunch for their children at noon. Therefore, some of the children had leftover as their lunch, some of them made lunch by themselves, some of them bought cheap nonnutritive food from roadside market, worst of all, some of them could not afford their lunch and they ate nothing at all.
