China Social Welfare Foundation awarded ‘Experimental kitchen of FLFC a Village with a Preschool Project’ license in the ceremony.

It is not the same as before.

The bond between Liangshan and FLFC formed at a very early stage and bring FLFC to the schools in Liangshan is not the new thing.

In September of 2011, Qianjin Primary School became the first FLFC school in Sichuan Province. Up to the February, there have been 75 schools having free lunch, which covers 30725 persons.

Innovation • New model

The central kitchen set up by ‘FLFC a Village with a Preschool Project’ is a innovative model of FLFC.

For example, foodconveyer and insulation pail of center school central kitchen in Muer Township can provide the meal for the 1800 teachers and students in 19 experimental schools.

The model of central kitchen breaks the disadvantage of one school need a kitchen.

FLFC foundation, local government and Education Bureau set up 6 central kitchens by reasonable planning, which realizes delivery from one town to another town nearby and solves more than 4000 children’s lunch.

This model saves input of hardware facilities and human resource of cooks. The number of cooks decrease form 60 to 29, and it also reduce the workload of teachers.

Overcome • New challenge—Build popular model •Promote sustainable development

The focus of FLFC further extends to the group of 3-6 years old. In the future, it will also pay attention to the group of 0-3 years old.

Although central kitchen solves the problem of children’s lunch in rural area effectively, it is also faced with the pressure and risk of food safety.

FLFC will work with local government to reinforce supervision and training. It can help to lower the risk and makes the program develop sustainably, which ensures the children can have hot meal.

After the launching ceremony, the participants went to center school of Muer Township to inspect education-aided project and conditions of lunch.
